Keio University Men’s Hockey Team was established in 1906 as the first hockey team in Japan, when William T. Gray, Pastor from England, came to Japan and taught hockey to students at Keio University. The history of Japan hockey began from Keio University.
Women’s Hockey Team was initiated in 1990. Keio University Hockey Association has continued for about 119 years, and both men and women teams are currently placed in Division One in Kanto Hockey League.
Moreover, as a pioneer of the hockey team in Japan, we have made some remarkable achievements; winning the title of all Japan championship, and producing several Olympians.

KHS is led by alumni of Keio University Hockey Association, where students of Keio Gijuku Yochisha and Keio Yokohama Elementary School play hockey.
The class is open weekly on Sundays at Hiyoshi field hockey stadium.
